What Can be Expected for the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan near Rio Rancho, NM?

The popular VW Tiguan is only in its second generation and was given a refresh in its design for the 2022 model year. It also received touch-capacitive controls, a new steering wheel, and a digital instrument cluster. More safety features were added to the higher trim levels, and the number of standard features was also increased across the lineup. The Tiguan is classed within the hugely competitive compact crossover SUV segment and happens to be one of the few in this group to offer three rows of seating. Being in this ultra-popular class of vehicles, the updated design and extra features help to give it extra oomph against its rivals. When your rivals are the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Ford Escape (to name just a few), you can’t afford to rest.  With all these features, plus the refresh given to the 2022 model, we believe the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan near Rio Rancho, NM will be a carryover model when it arrives.

Exterior Appearance

Today’s Tiguan boasts a more sophisticated design than its predecessor. New wheel designs, a remodeled front bumper, a more prominent grille, and updated LED headlights were added in 2022. Factor in the gentle curves and more rounded design elements, and the current VW Tiguan looks like a more expensive premium vehicle than the affordable model it is. You’ll notice the daytime running lights flow right into the grille’s horizontal bars, the body lines link with the taillights, and the wheel well creases are all in sync, giving the little SUV a flowing and cohesive appearance missing in its competitors. Expect the 2023 Tiguan to have the same essential exterior design with perhaps a few tweaks.

Interior Comfort and Amenities

Again, because it was recently refreshed, the interior is expected to be quite like the current model. A tiered center console with infotainment controls separated from the climate control, a few buttons, and crisp, angular lines help the Tiguan put forth a more upscale look than its competitors. It has a 6.5-inch touchscreen as standard, but a larger, 8-inch screen will be available. Also standard are Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, two USB ports, a WiFi hotspot, and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster with VW’s Digital Cockpit system. Available upgrades include an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, a Fender audio system with nine speakers, satellite and HD radio, and navigation. The 2023 model should be about the same.

The safety features are also expected to stay the same for the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan near Rio Rancho, NM. Currently, they include auto emergency braking, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. More safety/driver-assist features are available, and include lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, traffic sign recognition, a surround-view parking camera, adaptive cruise control, auto high-beam assist, reverse automatic emergency braking, and a driver drowsiness monitor.

What Powers the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan near Rio Rancho, NM

The current Tiguan is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that delivers up to 184 horsepower with 221 lb-ft of torque. This is mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission at every trim level. Front-wheel drive is standard, and AWD is available. We expect the same setup for the 2023 model.
