The ID.7 sedan is expected to debut sometime in the first half of this year. The first models will have single electric motors that power the rear wheels, delivering a robust 282 horsepower. We expect the ID.7 to be available with two motors, thus giving it all-wheel-drive capability, sometime later, perhaps in the last quarter of 2024.
With a fastback design, the ID.7 can fit up to five people in the cabin and has plenty of room for cargo in the spacious trunk, all while presenting a sportier look. Driver-assist technologies can alert you to safety concerns, identify problems, and help you with braking or steering when needed.
Infotainment is impressive inside the ID.7, especially the extra-large 15-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, navigation, and more. A digital instrument cluster will inform you of range and performance, and a head-up display keeps your eyes on the road ahead while projecting data onto the windshield.
ID.Buzz
The ID.Buzz is the comeback of the iconic VW bus from the 60s and 70s that combines a 91-kWh battery with a single motor RWD configuration to make 282 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque in the base trims. A dual-motor AWD version increases performance to 330 horsepower. Furthermore, the ID.Buzz will reportedly charge up to 80% in half an hour.
Inside, you’ll find three rows of seating with room for up to seven riders. The first row boasts the massage feature for luxurious comfort, while the second row offers available captain’s chairs that decrease the seating capacity to six passengers. There’s also a 12.9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto wireless connectivity, a 10-inch digital instrument panel, and a Wi-Fi hotspot to keep you connected wherever you go.
