The 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan near Rio Rancho NM Brings More Swagger to the People
In the immensely competitive compact SUV/crossover segment of the automotive world, you can’t let things get boring with what you offer. That’s why Volkswagen recently added more standard features and updated the design of the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan near Rio Rancho NM, giving the Tiguan a lot more swagger both inside and out.
Exterior Design
Although official data for the 2023 model has yet to be released, we’ve got some pretty good ideas of what to expect. The Tiguan is one of the best-looking vehicles in its class, with its exterior design resembling the larger VW Atlas and even more expensive Audis! The 2022 model was given a refresh, which included revised styling elements such as a new front bumper, updated LED headlights, a wider and more impressive grille, new badging at the rear, and new wheel choices ranging from 17 to 20-inch diameters. The 2022 Tiguan also received softer curves and massaged body lines throughout the exterior, so we don’t anticipate any significant changes for 2023.
Interior of the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan near Rio Rancho NM
Volkswagen interiors are some of the best, thanks to their excellent design and premium materials. Behind the wheel of the Tiguan, you’ll have a distinct and modern-looking cockpit with a 6.5-inch infotainment display and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. A larger 8-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital gauge display are offered as well. The 2022 model was given more modern buttons, more touch-sensitive features, and a tiered center console that separates the infotainment controls from the climate control system. Some of the most popular features within the Tiguan’s three rows of seating include Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charging, and keyless access with push-button start. We have a feeling those will remain popular for 2023 too.
Heated front seats will be standard across the lineup for 2023 along with a list of active safety features including blind-spot monitoring, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and rear-cross traffic alert.
Under the Hood
Currently, the VW Tiguan S, SE, and SE R-Line Black come with a turbocharged 2-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 184 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. A smooth 8-speed transmission keeps things going on all these models and front-wheel drive is standard, while the Tiguan SEL R-Line comes with VW’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive for improved traction in wet or slippery conditions. Keep in mind that for 2022 the three-row seating was standard on FWD Tiguans but was not offered on the AWD models. Whether any combination of third row seating will be offered on 2023 AWD models isn’t known at this point.
Tiguan Trim Levels
We expect the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan near Rio Rancho NM to arrive in the same four trim styles as the 2022 models noted above. The Tiguan S comes standard with everything listed here and moving into the SE trim you’ll get the addition of VW’s App-Connect, Travel and Emergency Assist, and a power liftgate with remote open/close.
Stepping up to the SE R-Line Black adds a panoramic sunroof and 15-color ambient lighting, plus the R-Line design elements, badging, and 19-inch black alloy wheels. If you like the R-Line design but enjoy more luxury, the Tiguan SEL R-Line adds an illuminated grille, ventilated genuine leather seating, and a Fender Premium Audio system.
